Vegas Dan joins the elite

Well, I have my first Cabrio convert. Vegas Dan. He bit the bullet and bought a new Cabrio washer and dryer. The funny thing was is he is the guy that told me about the Cabrio when I was looking for a new washer and dryer 2 months ago... Now, he joins the elite club of owners... Sounds like it was a real adventure buying them. His little girl dumped Orange Julius all over the place, and his baby threw up on him. Sounds like a normal day at Best Buy to me. lol... Welcome Vegas! Now start posting your washes here like me. lol.

Sixteenth Wash

Opps... this got folded and put away before I could mark it all down... DANG!! Same as others though, worked fine. Well, I got two loads waiting for folding so I should be able to get those at least...

Fifteenth Wash

OK, for this one I washed just 2 twin comfortors. The washer handled it with no problems. But the Dryer didnt dry them both the first time. One got dry, and one didn't. So I pulled out the dry one and then ran the wet one through again. Just it was just too much for the dryer to handle. lol.

Fourteenth Wash

Ok, this was a big wash. I put in 2 baby outfits, 1 pair baby socks, 5 kids undies, 1 kids pajamas, 2 adult shirts, 1 beach towel, 1 baby towel, 1 kids shorts, 11 pair of socks, 1 wash cloth, 1 burp rag, and 35 adult undies (tops and bottoms). This was a ton to fold. lol. But it was handled with ease by both washer and dryer!

Thirteenth Wash

OK, we did 4 kids undies, 2 baby outfits, 2 pajamas, 12 adult shirts, 1 adult dockers, 14 kids shirts, and 8 kids shorts. The cabrios both laughed at us. Zero problems!

Met its match! 12th Wash Proves Too Much!

Well, the first official load that the washer couldn't handle was a load of 14 bath towels, and 3 beach towels. That was a LOT of towels! I kept getting and unbalanced load, and after the 3rd one (I think the 3rd one, but for sure 2), the washer stopped and was flashing "UL". I had to open it up, move the towels around, and then set it on a rinse and spin cycle. It finished that without problems. After that the dryer was able to handle it fine, and dried it all in one shot. That was at least good. So, Don't put in 17 towels. lol.

Tenth and Eleventh Wash

Well, we had kind of a mix up, and before I could count the contents of loads 10 and 11 they were mixed together for folding! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I could have estimated, but couldn't be 100% sure so I didn't want to tarnish my spotless reputation of accuracy and integrity with which I have been reporting the washes. But they both were washed and dried without problems or incident, so it would have been the same as you have seen before.

The Plan

Ok so like, I have been saving up towels. I am going to try to get 20 towels into one load. That will be HUGE! Should be a good test! Maybe I can even stuff in 25...

Ninth Wash

Another good solid load on this one. 5 kids undies, 3 adult shirts, 2 towels, 5 hand towels, 8 kid shirts, 10 kids shorts, 1 large tablecloth, 1 napkin, 4 washcloths, 2 dish towels, 1 burp rag, 4 baby outfits, and 6 pairs of sox. Yep, it all came clean and dried first time around. These Cabrios are the real deal.

Eighth Wash

OK, this was kind of a whimpy wash because Shay isn't as adventurous as me when it comes to pushing the laundry envelope. 1 towel, 1 pair of sox, 1 adult shirt, 1 twin blanket. Yeah it all was washed and dried with no problems. BORRRRRIIIINNNNGGGGG!

Seventh Wash

This was a KING KONG load. 30 pieces of adult undies, 10 kids undies, 4 adult shirts, 1 king size fitted sheet, 1 dish towel, 2 washclothes, 4 baby night outfits, 2 baby day outfits, 3 burp rags, and 10 pairs of sox. The washer got it all clean, and the dryer got it all dry. AWESOME!

Sixth Wash

OK, so like on this load I put in 16 pieces of kids clothes (shirts and shorts), and then 11 adults shirts and 1 adults pant. The washer laughed at this, and so did the dryer.

Fifth Wash

OK I put in 2 twin sheets, 4 towels, 1 baby quilt, 1 pillow case, 3 bathing suits, 8 pieces of kids clothes, and 1 adult shirt. Washer of course handled it with no problem. 2 towels didnt get dry in the dryer, but I believe that was because I forgot to change the lint trap. It was really full. So, I don't think I can really count that. I can't believe I made such a rookie mistake!!! What a No0b... You would think I have never done a load of wash before... lol.

Fourth Wash

OK, I put in 11 towels, 8 washcloths, 1 napkin, 2 hand towels, 10 pieces of kids clothes, 1 pillow case, 1 twin sheet, and one adult shirt. Washer handled it with no problems, and the dryer completely dried it in one shot. Awesome!

Third Wash

ok for the 3rd wash I put in 11 towels, a bunch of washcloths, and a bunch of my kids clothes. Washer was packed as full as I could get it, and had zero problems getting everything clean. The dryer had no problems drying it either. Thumbs up!

Second Wash

OK. I put in one king size quilt, and two twin blankets. The washer handled it no problem. The first dryer run was not enough to dry them all, so I ran a second cycle. Well that didn't completely dry it either. It appears that the the dryer had a problem because the blankets and quilt took up more and more space as they dried, making it hard to get completely dry. After the second cycle the king size quilt was almost 100% dry, so I could pull it out and just finish on a couch. One of the twin blankets was completely dry, but the other wasn't and need to be put through a third cycle. Oh well... To be fair that was a lot of stuff to dry. The dryer is enormous, but I guess not big enough for that much. Probably my fault though. But in this case the washer washed more than the dryer could dry. lol

First Wash

OK. The first load I put into this thing was 11 towels, 1 washcloth, and 1 king size fitted sheet. The washer handled this with absolutely no problems, and the dryer dried it 100% complete in one cycle. Thumbs up!

OH YEAH!

So we just got a new Whirlpool Cabrio 6400S Washer, and a Whirlpool Cabrio 6200S Dryer. The capacity is HUGE on these things. So I figure I would blog my crazy washing experiments. Gonna see how big i can get a load to be, and still get clean.
